Which VTPro features work in VR and which don't?
In 3DVista VTPro, we are continually adding new functionalities to VR mode. Currently, we support the following media types in tours:
Supported Media in VR:
- Panoramas: All variants (Standard, Live Panoramas, Adaptive HDR, and Stereo Panoramas)
- 360º Videos. Also available in 180º mode.
- 3D Models: Orbital, Fly-Over, and First Person View.
- Audio: In all its applications, including background music, directional audio in panoramas, and audio triggered by actions.
- Images: Only in Popup mode via the Popup Image action.
- Video: Only in Popup mode via the Popup Video action, or as hotspots within panoramas or 360º Videos.
Unsupported Media in VR currently:
- Photo Album
- Images
- Videos displayed directly on a viewer.
- Floorplans
Regarding actions, those supported in VR are marked with a small blue icon. These include:
- Open Panorama
- 360 Video
- Audio
- 3D Model (with all available sub-options)
- Popup Image
- Popup Video
- Open URL
- Download File
- Show/Hide Hotspots
- Hotspot
- Execute Javascript
- History
- Media Control
- List control
- Change Language
- Text to Speech
- E-Learning: Limited to Count Score, Launch with Objective, Start E-learning, and End E-learning.
Other important VTPro features not supported in VR include:
- Skin Elements: Anything created in the Skin tab will not be visible in VR mode. This is important to consider when planning your projects, although we plan to support this function in the near future.
- E-Learning: While some key functions like Question Cards or the Score screen are not currently available, point counting and related actions can still be used, enabling various e-learning or gamification dynamics through hotspot usage.
- Loading Screen: It is displayed in the browser of the glasses or mobile until the tour is loaded, and the VR button defined by the user appears. However, if the tour is accessed with a link where the URL carries the parameter "?vr" to start it directly in VR mode, it will not be shown. Also, if accessed from the VR app, it won't be shown either.
- WebFrames: WebFrames are not available for VR. You can use them for the desktop and mobile versions of your tours, but they will not be visible in VR mode. They do not work in VR as Hotspots, as a Popup action, or as a Skin element.
